Weekend Wrapup

Just wanted to give a few words about this past week at The Well. We had part three of our You Are Here sermon series. We are talking about changing our perspective to change our world. We believe that Jesus had a radical perspective on life. It is one that the people of his time did not understand until after He rose from the dead. He noticed the ones on the underside of their culture. Our goal is to allow God to change our perspective and give us His mind, eyes, hands, and most importantly His heart for His people. The first sermon of the series was titles "The Power of Perspective" and the second was "The Power of Purpose". This week, we invited Pastor Paul Yuschak from Street Light church to share about all the Lord is at work doing there. The service started with a very powerful video illustration of a real story from a women that found God at their church that we put together. Our goal again was to allow our young adults to see the world through the eyes of the people at Street Light ministry. By the end of the night, it was evident that God opened many ees and hearts to what He is calling our young adults to get involved with at Street Light church as they reach out in ministry to the hurting people, most of them being homeless, in Elizabeth, NJ.
