Have you ever said this? "If it wasn't for this ______ in my life, I would be able to follow God the way I know He wants to me." Or how about "I am so busy right now, it seems like I don't have time for to have a deep relationship with God that I really want."
This week at The Well, we had out final installment of the You Are Here series. The focus of this series is to spend each week looking at the world through the eyes of someone else. The idea was that as we "walk a mile in another persons shoes", we could see the needs both around the world and in our neighborhoods and families. Our prayer was that God would stir up a passion in our hearts as we are presented with the needs and that we could be used by God to be a part of restoring this broken world.
In our final week of this series, we no longer wanted to pretend we were in another persons shoes. Instead, the goal was to look at our lives and really see where we are as opposed to we feel God wants us to be. During the past year, I have had so many conversations with our young adults as the know that God has great plans for their lives and some of them even know what those plans are. However, they find themselves stuck, not able to grasp all that God has for them.
In this weeks message, we were challenged to release those things to God that may be keeping us from the kind of life He is calling us to live. Next week we will be wrapping up the You Are Here series with a Night of Worship. Really excited about what God is ready to do with this group of Young Adults as we surrender our lives to Him!
